Entered Through CBP One and Got a USCIS Denial? You Can Ask for a Review for Free
Under a court order, USCIS is reviewing, with no filing fee, denials issued between April 1, 2025, and April 21, 2026, because of the mass termination of CBP One parole. There is no filing deadline.
Friends, important news for anyone who entered the US through the CBP One app.
On October 26, USCIS announced that, under a federal court ruling, people whose parole was terminated by a mass notice in April 2025 (“it’s time to leave the US”) can ask for their denial to be reconsidered without paying a fee.
Who this applies to: - you were paroled into the US after booking an appointment through CBP One between May 16, 2023, and January 19, 2025; - in April 2025 you received a notice terminating your parole, and you’re still in the US; - your USCIS denial was issued between April 1, 2025, and April 21, 2026, and is tied to that termination.
There’s no filing deadline. Parole-based work permits are not included. For asylum, use Form I-589; for everything else, Form I-290B — instructions are on the USCIS website.
My advice: if you’re in deportation proceedings, talk to an immigration attorney first — different rules apply there.
Rules and deadlines may change — always check the official source.
